Black Hair Care - What can I use to make my hair grow?

A frequently asked question amongst African American women, is what can I use to make my hair grow?

You know this is a loaded question. My first response it stop putting relaxers in your hair and it will grow naturally.

But since some of you will probably tell me were to shove it, here is what I've found to work, even with relaxed hair.

There are certain essential oils that are known to stimulate your hair follicle and produce growth, so we'll take a look at some of them.

Essential Oils for Hair Growth: Sage, Rosemary Verbenone, Sea Buckthorn, Cedarwood, and chamomile.

Let's take a look at these five oils:

Sage - Highly regarded as a scalp tonic, sage can be very stimulating for hair growth. By combining sage and rosemary verbenone essential oil to a base of jojoba oil, you will be creating the ultimate hair oil to feed your scalp from the topical point of view.

Rosemary Verbenone - Verbonone is a chemotype that has ketones specific to the regeneration of dermis and follicles. Rosemary verbenone is stimulating to your scalp and hair.

Sea Buckthorn - Although sea buckthorn is good for almost all skin blends, it provides supportive nutrients for cellular metabolism. Your hair grows from the cellular metabolism, combined with essential oils like rosemary verbenone, it makes an excellent hair oil.

Cedarwood - is an essential oil that is stimulating to your scalp. It's also a gentle antiseptic cleanser.

Chamomile - A cool anti-inflammatory oil that helps when hair loss occurs.

Keeping your hair cleans and nourished is so important. The best nourishing products are those that are taken internally. Internal food is where the healing takes place.

All healing takes place from within. Your hair is no different. Whether you are challenged with dry and brittle hair or split ends and hair breakage, the solution will come from within based on what you eat and drink.

Your environment in which you work and live contributes to the challenges with your hair. Did you know that the Florescent lights within your work environment would cause damage to your skin as well as your hair and scalp?

Nutrition from within is just as important for your hair as much as your skin. If you don't remove the relaxers from your hair, at least eat the best foods and drink clean water so that your body will try to balance out the poisons from the hair care products.
