Black Skin Care: What Produces Beautiful Black Skin

There was a time when as African Americans, we never had to think of skin as a challenge. But we've spent too much time as a people trying to fit into the markets of other people when it comes to skin and hair.

It is because of these marketing campaigns that African Americans are challenged with their skin. When left alone and in a natural state Black Folk have the most beautiful skin on the planet.

What Produces Beautiful Black Skin?

It begins with how and what you eat, what you think and what you put on your skin. Your skin is the largest organ of your body.

It takes in whatever you apply to it topically. Your skin almost acts like an IV. You apply a product to it and the ingredients of that product not only penetrate into your skin but it goes into your blood stream and organs as well.

Black Skin Care Products and Their Ingredients

Skin care products that have ingredients like Shea butter, aloe vera, coconut and jojoba oils are but a few of the natural ingredients that assist your skin in maintaining its youthful and radiant glow.

Keeping your skin clean is extremely important and using products that don't contain detergents is crucial. Detergents will dry your skin out. After you cleanse your skin, this is when you should add your moisturizer.

The moistness of your skin will absorb the product, locking in the moisture thereby creating the softness and beauty of your skin.

How and What You Eat:

How? Do you eat or drink your food? Is it raw or is it cooked? How are you combining your food?

What? What are you eating and how often are you eating it?

However you take in your food, the quality of that food is crucial. Eat the best foods you can afford. Organic is always better but if you canít afford it, at least eat fresh ... not cans, not frozen and not from restaurants that serve food from microwave ovens.

Food feeds your organs. When your organs are not receiving the right food it will be reflected in the appearance of your skin. When you eat properly, your body will eliminate waste from your body. When you eliminate waste it will give your skin a radiant glow.

When waste backs up you begin to see it reflected in the appearance of your skin. You will see bags under your eyes, this often reflects a challenge with your kidneys. Pimples on your chin can often reflect hormonal challenges.

These occurrences take place when the food you eat does not flow through your digestive track.

Do You Brush Your Skin?

Yes, brush your skin. Skin brushing, also known as dry skin brushing, is one of the techniques of having beautiful black skin. What happens when you brush your skin?

Dry skin brushing is a technique that stimulates the flow of blood and lymph. It exfoliates your skin and encourages the growth of new cells.

How do I brush my skin?

You would start at your feet and sweep upwards onto your legs. All skin brushing movements should be stroked towards your heart. This movement encourages the return of your blood to your heart and encourages lymphatic flow as well.

Doing this procedure first thing in the morning or before you take a shower, will help with increased blood flow.

Finally ...

Whether you're taking in your food through your mouth or your skin, the quality of the food is extremely important.
