Caring for Yourself Internally as You Face a World in Trauma?

Are you caring for yourself internally? What happens to you internally on a daily basis? On a good day your internal organs are enduring a lot of stress. However, as you move through your days and face the world in trauma, the stress intensifies. Your body is under attack. The news is blasted on television, via the internet, your newspaper headlines and from friends and family calling to see if you’ve heard the latest reports.

Is it the stress of the Global Pandemic or is it the stress of not knowing whether or not you’ll have a job to return to. Either way, the mental stress puts your internal organs in duress. Often times, we’re not aware of the stress our hearts are under or the level our blood pressure is rising to.

Your internal conditions, cause your skin to look dull and ashy, often times changing the color of your complexion. Your hair during stressful times begins to break and a lot of you experience hair loss. So…

How Do You Care for Yourself Internally as You Face Uncertainty?

You begin by removing all negativity from your environment. That means tuning out people you love, because somehow their presence makes you restless or anxious. Often times ill.

Your internal well-being is as important and caring for your soul. While this might seem off the beaten path for some of you, others will understand that it important to find peace within your space. It could very well save your life.

I’ve been on the phone with a lot of you basically just listening as you release. I’m not a relative that will pass judgement on anything you say, so you feel comfortable. Our conversations have been enlightening for us both. We’ve moved beyond natural skin and hair care tips.

I’ve learned a lot spiritually and gone down certain rabbit holes, that have been reserved for my “weird” friends.

You know the ones, those women that seem to exist in la la land. In essence, it’s not, we’re basically discussing the cosmos or a connection we’ve had with the Creator or Mother Nature.

Believe it or not, these conversations are the beginning of caring for yourself internally. In order to have internal health, you must be in a calm state at all times. It’s as if you’re walking in a constant place of meditation.

Other Ways To Care for Your Internal Self During Traumatic Times

When we look at other ways to care for ourselves internally, nutrition, exercise and aromatherapy top the list.

Nutrition is crucial. You might want to fast and give your system a rest from having to digest food. If fasting is not an option, eat light meals, so as not to weighed down and feeling sluggish.

Exercise is a must. Although we’re told to Shelter In Place, a light walk outdoors is mandatory. The fresh air will help your oxygen levels.

Aromatherapy will help to enhance your mood. Using essential oils will help calm your nerves with a warm bath, body products or diffused in the air.

It’s Your Turn …

How will you take care of your internal self? Get quiet and have a conversation with yourself and the God you serve. Find out what works best for you and get started. Let us know how you’ve found your path to caring for your internal self as we walk through traumatic times.

That’s it for this week. As always …
